Washington State Program Expands Access To Medications For Opioid Use Disorder
The Washington State Health Care Authority (WSHCA) launched a new program called ScalaNW, which expands access to medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD). ScalaNW will equip clinicians in emergency rooms (ER) with tools to treat consumers for opioid use disorder (OUD) and connect them with community-based care.
ScalaNW is designed to equip ER clinicians with the knowledge and skills they need to treat patients with OUD.
