WellCare Names Dr. Clarence Davis Senior Medical Director In Georgia

WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (WellCare) recently selected Clarence Davis, MD, as its new senior medical director for the state of Georgia. In his new role, Dr. Davis will oversee the plan’s medical strategy and clinical direction of medical services and quality improvement.

WellCare cited Dr. Davis’s experience as a health care executive and medical director in government health plan operations and clinical medicine as a primary reason for selecting him for the position. Previously, Dr. Davis served as the chief medical officer for Memphis Health Center. His career in health care spans a nearly 30-year period.
