WellMed & Optum Establish Mobile Response Units In Fort Myers

WellMed and Optum Serve partnered with Lee County, Florida; Charlotte County, Florida; and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to establish mobile response medical units in Fort Myers, Florida following Hurricane Ian, which made landfall in Fort Myers on September 28, 2022. The WellMed-Optum Serve mobile response medical units provide aid assistance for community medical needs, distribute food and water, provide satellite Wi-Fi connection, and telemedicine services for both medical and behavioral health.
