William Caldwell, Wilson Medical Center's new chief executive officer has to get his hands around an ever-shifting health-care landscape while learning the vast ins and outs of Wilson's 294-bed facility. Caldwell comes to Wilson following Wilson Medical Center's joint venture with Duke LifePoint. Former CEO Rick Hudson retired when the deal took effect. Caldwell is spending time familiarizing himself with the hospital and facilities. But he's also getting out and meeting people, physicians, board members and community members.
