Women & Infants Hospital’s Community Mobile Health Clinic To Provide Postpartum Care In Rhode Island

Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island (WIH) announced the launch of its Community Mobile Health Clinic. The van serves community partners across Rhode Island to increase access to postpartum maternal health services.

The Community Mobile Health Clinic is a van outfitted to offer a variety of postpartum screenings and support, staffed by a nurse practitioner and a community health worker. The mobile clinic will screen consumers for postpartum depression and hypertension, provide contraceptive counseling and/or contraception as needed, and provide a variety of supportive services, such as mental health support and breastfeeding support.
