Wood County Disabilities Board Selects Brent Baer As New Superintendent

The Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities has selected Brent Baer as its next superintendent. The board held a special meeting Thursday to announce the decision. Baer is currently an assistant deputy director of the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities responsible for the oversight of Ohio’s 10 developmental centers. It is a position he has held for 3½ years. He brings 26 years of experience serving Ohio’s residents with developmental disabilities, with the greatest part of his career — 22 years — employed at the Northwest Ohio Developmental Center (NODC) in Toledo.
