Yale New Haven Health Signs Letter Of Intent To Acquire Two Connecticut Health Systems

Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) signed a letter of intent (LOI) to acquire Connecticut health systems Waterbury HEALTH and Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) from Prospect Medical Holdings. Financial terms were not disclosed; the organizations are completing due diligence to move towards a definitive agreement. The transaction is slated to close before the end of 2022.

The agreement in the LOI also includes the health systems’ related businesses, real estate assets, physician clinic operations and outpatient services. YNHHS intends to purchase the assets and operations associated with the following hospitals that make up the two health systems:
