Youth Mental Health Corps Expands To 16 States In 2026
The Youth Mental Health Corps (YMHC) will expand into 16 states for the 2026 to 2027 school year, up from 11 states in its first two years. Founded in 2024 by the Schultz Family Foundation and Pinterest, YMHC trains young adults to provide peer mental health support to youth in schools and community settings. New investment from Ballmer Group is helping fuel the expansion.
Since launch, YMHC has trained nearly 1,000 corps members and reached more than 44,000 young people and community members across 440 host sites in California, Colorado, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Oregon, Texas . . .
