Magellan Behavioral health Services announced on December 29, 1999, that it was ending a case rate reimbursement methodology paid to Tennessee community mental health agencies (CMHAs) under TennCare Partners and will now increase reimbursement with varying rates dependent on the level of services provided to consumers. Magellan also announced that the company was instituting a new quality improvement plan designed to ensure that seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children receive services.
