Michigan’s MR/DD Providers Adapt To Medicaid Managed Care Waiver Transition is Underway with More Changes Ahead
OPEN MINDS, The Behavioral Health & Social Service Industry Analyst Cover Story Michigan has begun implementation of a waiver that includes Medicaid prepaid specialty services and supports for persons with developmental disabilities. The state announced approval of this waiver by the Health Care Financing Administration in June 1998 and met its scheduled start date of October 1, 1998 (see OPEN MINDS, December 1998).
