Health Care Reform Legislation Significantly Expands Health Insurance Coverage For Individuals Leaving Correctional Systems In 2014 An important sidebar to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) is its potential to significantly impact access to health care for individuals leaving correctional systems (and simultaneously reducing the budget impact on the states funding them).
