Alcohol and drug abuse facilities are located in all 50 states. Forty-two of those states require licensing of these facilities and have quality assurance requirements. Ambulatory psychiatric centers exist in 42 states, but only 20 states require licensure. Of these requiring licensure, 18 have quality assurance requirements.
