Family of Social Worker Sues Hospitals

OPEN MINDS The Behavioral Health & Social Service Industry Analyst Industry News The mother of a psychiatric social worker has sued two Pittsburgh-area hospitals (McKeesport Hospital and Braddock General Hospital), claiming that their negligence led to her daughter’s death at St. Francis Medical Center. According to a report in the February 12, 1990 issue of Health Week, social worker Linda Rosen was helping admit a patient, Edith Anderson, to St. Francis. Ms. Anderson shot and killed Ms. Rosen, supposedly to draw attention to the mentally ill. Rosen’s mother alleges that McKeesport Hospital and Braddock General Hospital failed . . .
