OPEN MINDS The Behavioral Health & Social Service Industry Analyst Industry News U-Haul International of Phoenix instituted a policy on April 1, 1990 that will result in lower pay for employees who are obese, anorexic or nicotine-dependent. The $5 per week penalty is designed to give employees an incentive to solve these problems, by giving a refund to any employee who quits smoking or gets their weight under control within two years according to a report in the February 26, 1990 issue of Health Week.
