The 1989 HealthAction Leadership awards were announced in the February 25 1990 issue of HealthAction Managers. The awards were designed to recognize the most effective employee health strategies. The top 1989 award went to the Adolph Coors Company for its comprehensive wellness program. In addition, there were 13 category winners, of which three (substance abuse education, employee assistance, and stress management) were in the behavioral health area.
