On June 7, 2006, the Center for Health Care Strategies (CHCS) announced that California, Indiana, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington will participate in a 24-month CHCS Purchasing Institute on Managed Care for People with Disabilities. The states, which were selected through a competitive process, will receive help designing, implementing, and evaluating managed care programs for adults with disabilities. The program is supported by the California HealthCare Foundation and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
