NY Mayor to Wean Addicts off Methadone

OPEN MINDS, The Behavioral Health & Social Service Industry Analyst Industry News Mayor Rudolph Giuliani will limit methadone treatment for heroin addicts to no more than three months. The new policy will be implemented in about 60 days, and will affect 2,000 addicts, according to an article in the August 15, 1998 edition of the New York Times.
