The past few months, I’ve noticed a peculiar brand of protectionism in the health and human service field raise its head. Perhaps it’s the tough economic times—with organizations scrambling for every referral and every dollar. Perhaps it’s the specter of health care reform with its “game changing” effect on the landscape.
