Hawaii Adopts Managed Care Legislation

OPEN MINDS The Behavioral Health & Social Service Industry Analyst Industry News The Hawaii legislature has passed a bill, HB 2157, authorizing the state’s department of health to establish standards for managed behavioral health programs. Under the new law, the director of the department of health will establish administrative standards for managed care and can levy penalties up to $1,000 for consistent violations.
