Tennessee Restructures TennCare Behavioral Health

OPEN MINDS The Behavioral Health Industry Analyst Industry News The State of Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation (DMHMR) has announced its restructuring of behavioral health treatment services under the TennCare program. The new behavioral health program, called the TennCare Partners Program, will have two components: A basic benefits package for all 1.2 million enrollees in the TennCare program. The basic benefits will include psychiatric hospital services (limited to persons between the ages of 21 and 65), limited outpatient mental health services, limited inpatient and outpatient substance abuse services, psychiatric pharmacy services and pharmacy-related lab services . . .
