Florida Opens Third Faith-Based Prison
OPEN MINDS, The Behavioral Health & Social Service Industry Analyst Industry News Florida's Wakulla Correctional Facility began a new faith-based prison program in November of 2005. The program is the third of its kind in the state, following models that are already in place at the Lawtey and Tampa facilities. These volunteer-based programs offer inmates access to religious programs in hopes of strengthening their character.
