15-Fold Increase in Number Of ID/DD Residential Facilities: Growth Attributed To Facilities With Fewer Than 15 Residents As of June 30, 2007, there were 167,857 state-operated or state-licensed facilities providing residential services for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (ID/DD); this does not include psychiatric facilities or nursing homes.
