The State of Oklahoma’s $1 million appropriation for mental health services has been awarded to two private mental health centers. Oklahoma has a total of 21 mental health centers (16 of them private) according to a report in the September 24, 1990 issue of Health Week. Mental Healthcare Services of Tulsa received $800,000 and Northcare Community Mental Health Center in Oklahoma City received the rest of the funding.
