On November 9, 1998, Res-Care, Inc. (Nasdaq: NM:RSCR) announced its Division for Youth Services ahs entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the operations of Gator Human Services, Inc., a not-for-provider of services to adjudicated youth with programs in seven Florida communities. The transaction is structured as a cash purchase of assets and operations, and subject to normal regulatory approvals, is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 1998.
