OPEN MINDS The Behavioral Health & Social Service Industry Analyst Industry News About 35% of 400 companies surveyed indicated that they are considering restricting or excluding dependents from behavioral health coverage, according to a report in Psychotherapy Finances, Volume 16, Number 5. The report also cited a survey of 1,600 organizations which found that 75% had adopted cost controls on chemical dependency treatment, including reducing coverage of inpatient days, reducing lifetime limits of coverage, and firing employees with chemical dependency problems.
