A great strategic plan and disciplined execution make the difference between high-performing organizations and those that constantly struggle to compete. That was my key takeaway from the recent survey, The State Of Strategy Execution: Balancing Speed, Adaptation, And Control, which revealed “leader” organizations consistently outperform “laggard” organizations across every major performance indicator. Leader organizations are 9.5 times more likely to adapt quickly to market changes, and they report better performance in revenue (91% vs. 61% of laggard organizations), innovation (90% vs. 65%), customer retention (89% vs. 63%), and employee satisfaction (89% vs. 41%).
