According to an OPEN MINDS quick poll of provider organizations during the pandemic, 71% of provider organizations reported that their strategic plan had an agenda item for mergers, and acquisitions (M&A). And, the primary reason those organizations are pursuing M&A? 33% reported that it was to increase their service lines and become more comprehensive, while 29% reported that they were looking at M&A as a means to improve their financial situation.
