Changing Demographics: New Opportunities

When I look at the rising population of older consumers in the health and human services industry, I often think about something Jonathan Evans, CEO of Safe Harbor Behavioral Health, noted last year, “Our 65+ population needs comprehensive care for behavioral and cognitive disorders – but that need is not well served in our current system” (see Reframing Behavioral Health Services for the 65+ Population all members).
Finding a solution to better service will rely on understanding the combination of demographics, new scientific developments, and new technological innovations that are rapidly shaping a new market scene.
