New England Village: An OPEN MINDS Organizational Profile
Founded in 1966, New England Village (NEV) is a non-profit organization whose mission is “to empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to realize their potential and pursue their dreams through innovative programs and community living.” NEV operates four types of programs in support of this mission–residential housing, community-based day services, employment supports, and day habilitation.
Headquartered in Pembroke, Massachusetts, between Boston and Cape Cod, NEV employs 335 individuals at 17 homes. In 2020 NEV, provided treatment and prevention services to about 300 individuals.
