Founded in 1965, The Harris Center for Mental Health and I/DD(Harris Center) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides outpatient mental health services, intellectual and developmental disability services, forensic mental health services, PREA resources, comprehensive psychiatric emergency program, Harris County mental health jail diversion program, the respite rehabilitation and re-entry center, health homes, and primary care services. The Harris Center is accredited by the Texas Council of Community Centers, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), and the Texas Veterans Portal.
