Launched in August 2020, KidsPeace’s Explorer PRTF (Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility) program was developed in collaboration with Magellan Behavioral Health of Pennsylvania to provide services to male adolescents with behavioral challenges stemming from traumatic events. Using a trauma-informed approach to care, the program is designed to provide a safe and supportive environment for young men that have experienced behavioral challenges beyond those normally addressed in traditional PRTF programming.
