Program Overview
Launched in 2016 by the Second Harvest Heartland, FOODRx is a program that integrates with health care systems to provide nutritious meals to members who experience food insecurity. The goal of the initiative is to help food insecure individuals access food in new innovative ways within the health care system, as those who experience food insecurity disproportionately experience health-related challenges.
