Healthcare In Action By SCAN: An OPEN MINDS Program Profile

On January 1, 2022, SCAN Group launched Healthcare in Action (HIA) in Los Angeles, California. First announced in July 2021, HIA provides health care, substance use treatment, mental health, and other wrap-around services to unhoused individuals through a “street medicine” model, which brings services out of the clinic and directly to the street or encampments.
