Keeping Youth in Foster Care Placement By The Family Initiative: An OPEN MINDS Program Profile
Founded in 1965, The Family Initiative (TFI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides child welfare services, including prevention, foster care, adoption, case management, and residential services. As part of its case management services, TFI, in partnership with the University of Kansas, has launched the Runaway Youth Project to address the issue of children missing from foster care placement.
