Oklahoma DHS Compromise and Settlement Agreement in D.G. vs. Yarbrough

On January 4, 2012, the Oklahoma Commission for Human Services finalized a settlement agreement in a 2008 federal civil rights class action lawsuit, D.G. vs. Yarbrough, filed by Children's Rights, a child advocacy group representing children in the state's foster care system. The settlement agreement identifies 15 areas of child welfare practice improvements where the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) will focus its attention.
