American Action Forum Amicus Brief Regarding PPACA Individual Mandate & Severability

On January 6, 2012, the American Action Forum filed an amicus brief to the United States Supreme Court showing that the individual mandate cannot be severed from the rest of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The brief, which was signed by 103 economists, states that according to several economic analyses, ACA significantly relies on the individual mandate to provide a significant portion of the benefit necessary to counterbalance the enormous costs the Act imposes on health insurance providers.
