Ruling On Region 10 PIHP et al, v. Michigan Department Of Health & Human Services
The ruling was issued on January 8, 2026, in response to two lawsuits filed by organizations in Michigan that currently administer a prepaid inpatient health plan (PIHP) for specialty behavioral health services for people with mental health disorders, substance use disorder, and developmental disabilities. The plaintiffs challenged the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services procurement to restructure administration of public specialty behavioral health services.
