Letter From Maine DHHS Commissioner Mayhew With Changes In Implementation Dates For Children’s PNMI Services

The Maine Department of Health and Human Services Commissioner Mary C. Mayhew’s memorandum to providers of MaineCare Private Non-Medical Institution Services concerns reimbursement changes required for Private Non Medical Institution (PNMI) to be in federal compliance. It also states that there are updates to children’s PNMI services, substance abuse, and community residences for members with mental illness. The memo states that significant changes in reimbursement are required for covered residential services for more than 6,000 MaineCare members who reside in more than 400 locations.
