The New York Attorney General has released a proposal on prescription drug abuse in New York state. The proposal describes and gives rationale for addressing prescription drug abuse through modernizing the state's prescription monitoring program. The proposal is titled, the Internet System for Tracking Over-Prescribing (I-STOP) Act, which aims to enhance the effectiveness of New York's prescription monitoring program.
