Iowa DHS Mental Health Developmental Disability Redesign Transition Committee Report

The Iowa Department of Human Services Redesign Transition Committee released recommendations to the legislature about the amount of funding needed to help counties form regional mental health and developmental disabliity services networks. Starting July 1, 2014, the regional MH/DD service networks will share case management and support costs for non-Medicaid services under performance-based contracts with the state. Previously, each of the 99 counties was individually responsible for funding and delivery for non-Medicaid services, and responsible for funding the non-federal share of Medicaid services for county residents.
