On January 13, 2014, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer issued an executive order to establish a new cabinet-level position to oversee and direct the state’s child welfare program and child protective services (CPS). With the executive order, the governor’s office released a fact sheet about the plans for the 2014 CPS reform and the new division.
