In this analysis released January 15, 2014, the Maine Bureau of Insurance in the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation analyzed the impact of a proposed expansion of the state’s autism insurance mandate. Currently the mandate requires health plans to cover interventions for dependents up to age five. The proposal would extend coverage to dependents up to age 21.
