Washington State Approval Of Certificate Of Need #15 – 19: For 120-Bed Psychiatric Hospital Submitted By Alliance For South Sound Health

On January 15, 2016, the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) approved this proposal to build a 120-bed psychiatric hospital in Tacoma, Washington. The proposal was submitted by Alliance for South Sound Health, a partnership formed by MultiCare Health System (MHS) and CHI Franciscan Health System (CHI-FH). An alternate proposal, submitted by Signature Healthcare LLC as Tacoma Behavioral Healthcare Hospital, to build a 174-bed psychiatric hospital in Tacoma was rejected.
