California’s Santa Barbara County Seeks Welfare-to-Work Program Employment Services

On April 4, 2013, the Santa Barbara, California County Department of Social Services (DSS) awarded Arbor E&T, LLC, dba ResCare Workforce Services a $3.7 million, three-year contract to provide welfare-to-work services. The county DSS released a request for proposal (RFP 13-04) on January 21, 2013. Proposals were due February 26, 2013. The county also received responses from Maximus Human Services, Inc.; Goodwill Industries of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties, Inc.; and Aacres CA, LLC. ResCare Workforce Services was also the previous provider for the countyÂ’s CalWORKS program.
