The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released this illustrative list of potential insurance plans that could be used as the basis for establishing essential health benefits in each state. The list complements an informational bulletin of December 16, which outlined how CMS intended to approach defining the package of essential health benefits required by the Affordable Care Act to be the minimum basis for coverage in both the health insurance exchanges and the Medicaid expansion.
