Letter From Commissioner of Tennessee DMRS to Providers Regarding HCBS Rate Cut

January 18, 2008 On December 22, 2007, the Tennessee Division of Mental Retardation Services (DMRS) announced a 6.1% rate cut for all 426 agencies that provide services under the states Home-and Community-Based Services Waiver program. The rate cut became effective January 1, 2008, and will continue through June 2008. However, DMRS will be evaluating the continued need for the rate cut and the 6.1% rate is not fixed.
