On January 30, 2012, the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) released a notice of decision to proceed in response to an invitation to negotiate to become the community-based managing entity for substance abuse and mental health services In Broward County. DCF found it in the best interest of the state to negotiate on the best terms and conditions for the contract. The notice included a negotiation schedule for the week of February 6 through 9, 2012.
