Congressional Budget Office; The Budget and Economic Outlook: Fiscal Years 2012 to 2022

The Congressional Budget Office projects a $900 billion increase in the cost of government healthcare programs over the next decade. According to CBO's budget and economic outlook for fiscal years 2012 to 2022, CBO warned that if health care costs are not reduced and if taxes stay at their current levels, then health care spending will climb to $1.8trillion or 7% of the entire ecomony- an 'unsupportable level'.
