The report was released in February 2015 by Trinity College Dublin; it was written by Suzanne Cahill, Ph.D.; Caroline ONolan, Ph.D.; Dearbhla OCaheny; and Andrea Bobersky, Ph.D. The authors conducted a national survey to identify demographic trends in the Republic of Ireland in the provision of specialist long-term care for people with dementia. Of the 602 nursing homes surveyed, 469 responded. About 11% of nursing homes in Ireland have dementia-specific segregated care in small scale domestic units . . .
