As part of its economic projections for 2014, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) analyzed how the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (PPACA) provisions related to health insurance access in 2014 are likely to impact the labor market. The CBO found that some workers may voluntarily choose to reduce the number of hours worked because they will have access to health insurance, not only employer-sponsored health benefits.
